Vanderbilt Farmers Market
Vendor Parking
Our market begins promptly at 8am. You are to be here no later than 7:30am. Vendors must unload their products first, then move your vehicle to an approved parking area as soon as possible before setting up to allow easier and safer traffic flow for everyone. At the end of the market (1pm) and not earlier unless approved or its weather related, vendors may then go get their vehicle and bring it back to market area for loading. This is an important safety issue.
There is absolutely NO vendor parking in front of any storefronts at all, behind your tent or another vendor’s tent unless approved by the market managers. Only those who have been granted a parking permit will be able to park behind their tent. Please always display this in your window during the market.
If you have employees or help at the market and they have their own car, they are also subject to the same rules. Please make sure they know the rules!
Market Products
Vendors may sell ONLY the product(s) agreed to and listed on their online application. Vendors are not permitted to change or add products without prior written consent. Products not previously approved will be immediately removed.
Market Tents and Weights
Your tent should be 10x10 in size unless you are a large produce vendor or an additional space vendor. Vendor tents are to line up with the vendor next to you. Please do not leave large walkway spaces beside your tent. You are NOT allowed to set up displays or tables outside of your space blocking the vendor next to you. Please be courteous to your neighbor. Weights are required and are to be 15lbs or more on every leg of the tent. Water jugs are not acceptable. If you do not have your weights, you will not be allowed to set up for the day. This is for your safety as well as for those around you and our customers.
Communication
If you are running late, please call or text 239-293-0666 to let us know. If we do not hear from you by 7:30 your space will no longer be guaranteed. Early breakdowns are NOT allowed unless approved ahead of time by the market manager. If you continually run out of product early, it is your responsibility to make adjustments for the following week. You still are not allowed to leave early until the market has ended. This becomes a safety issue for other vendors as well as walking traffic when spaces are left open before the market ends. A $25 cash fine will be imposed going forward for this violation and your current space may not be guaranteed. Calls made to another vendor does not constitute as a phone call to the Market Managers. Please address this with anyone working your space for you. REMINDER: We are always on property in our storefront (Neighborhood Organics) or in our information booth so saying you did not know how to reach us in inexcusable.
Cancellations and No Shows
You must call or text on the Friday before the market or sooner to let us know if you are not attending unless there is an emergency. Failure to do so will result in a $25 cash fine and payable before you return to the next market. This will be strictly enforced. Excessive absences can result in termination from the market which can also cause negative customer reviews. When this occurs, it impacts all vendors and the entire market.
License/Permits
Vendors are responsible for all licenses and permits required to conduct their specific business. If you are working under Cottage Law, you are to display the appropriate signage and labels for your product. Department of Agriculture does visit from time to time.
Driving through the Market and Speeding
Driving through the middle of the market or in and out of the market space is not allowed; also make sure you slow down your speed when you arrive. If we catch you speeding, you will be asked to leave the market. We are not messing around when it comes to this.
Trash
No vendor trash should be left at the market or in the trash cans provided throughout the market. The trash cans are provided for our customers NOT vendors. Also vendors are not allowed to use the Shoppes dumpsters. A fine will be imposed if a vendor is found violating this rule. Food vendors must have their own trash cans for their customers.
Vendor and Public Restrooms
Port a Johns are located behind Naples Family Fitness. Use the walkway along the gym. Vendors are not allowed to use storefront restrooms.
Generators
Only whisper generators or self-powered electric inverters are allowed. There is no electric availability here at the market. If your generator becomes an issue with your neighbors, we may need to ask you to remove it. Please keep a fire extinguisher at your booth at all times.
Smoking
No smoking permitted within the market footprint (which includes behind your tent)
Signage
Sandwich boards or signs are allowed however they must be placed closest to the corner of your tent. Please do not place in the footprint of the market or they will be moved.
