It certainly has been a long summer without seeing our Vendors and our Guests we are excited that we will re-open
The Vanderbilt Farmers Market on OCTOBER 3rd, 2020. We have had a few restrictions placed on us due to the coronavirus pandemic, but we have also implemented the CDC and Collier County Govt. recommendations to make this the best possible experience for everyone to come make a day of it. Whether it's to stroll the Vanderbilt Farmers Market or visit one of the many Restaurants, Boutiques, Professional Services and Fitness Centers in the Elegant Lifestyle Collection here at the Galleria's Shoppes at Vanderbilt.
When we first made the decision in late March 2020 to close Vanderbilt Farmers Market in response to the coronavirus pandemic, we didn’t know how long it would be for. We didn’t know what the future held or what a reopening would entail. However, we did know that whenever we did make the decision to reopen, we’d want to make sure we’re letting our guests and vendors enjoy everything they love about our Market in a cautious and caring way. And we knew that we’d be stronger, more resilient, and even more eager to welcome back our guests and vendors than ever before.
While it is still our belief that you are in a safer environment in an outside open-air market than in an indoor closed box store, your safety is still our number one concern. Listed below are some of the things we suggest for helping maintain both Guest and Vendor safety during this time.
- Masks - Guests and Vendors are urged to wear a facemask or shield since Covid -19 is still a health issue. Since CDC mandates have recently been relaxed, we are still strongly recommending that if you are elderly, immunocompromised or have an underlying health issue that you continue to wear a mask while out in the public.
- Temperature Checks - Any Guest or Vendors who do not feel well or feel they have been exposed to covid-19 should stay home. Any vendor or its employee who has a temperature of 100.4 or greater will be asked to leave the market for the day.
- Hand Sanitizer Stations - Vendors will be required to have hand sanitizer or wipes at their booths for both themselves and guests of the market. The market has also purchased touchless hand sanitizer stations that will be placed at each end of the market for guest use.
- Porta Potty's - We will have additional porta potties for guests and vendors use along with a portable hand washing station.
- Social Distancing - Guests and Vendors should practice social distancing if they feel uncomfortable in their environment.
- Food Vendors - Masks or face Shields and Gloves are still recommended by any vendor serving or making food at the market. Sampling will be allowed but it will need to be in an individual, single use container. We also ensure that each food vendor is licensed, or in complete compliance with cottage law requirements.
***Exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present;
