It certainly has been a long summer without seeing our Vendors and our Guests we are excited that we will re-open
The Vanderbilt Farmers Market on OCTOBER 3rd, 2020. We have had a few restrictions placed on us due to the coronavirus pandemic, but we have also implemented the CDC and Collier County Govt. recommendations to make this the best possible experience for everyone to come make a day of it. Whether its to stroll the Vanderbilt Farmers Market or visit one of the many Restaurants, Boutiques, Professional Services and Fitness Centers in the Elegant Lifestyle Collection here at the Galleria's Shoppes At Vanderbilt.
When we first made the decision in late March 2020 to close Vanderbilt Farmers Market in response to the coronavirus pandemic, we didn’t know how long it would be for. We didn’t know what the future held or what a reopening would entail. However, we did know that whenever we did make the decision to reopen, we’d want to make sure we’re letting our guests and vendors enjoy everything they love about our Market in a cautious and caring way. And we knew that we’d be stronger, more resilient, and even more eager to welcome back our guests and vendors than ever before.
While it is still our belief that you are in a safer environment in an outside open air market than in an indoor closed box store, your safety is still our number one concern. Listed below are some of the things we have implemented to help maintain both Guest and Vendor safety during this time;
- Masks - As long as the Local Govt. Agencies have a mask mandate; all guests are strongly urged to wear a facemask or shield and vendors will be required to wear a mask. If these mandates are relaxed, we will still strongly recommend that if you are elderly, immunocompromised or have an underlying health issue that you continue to wear a mask while out in the public.
- ONE WAY IN AND ONE WAY OUT- Handicapped may enter at either location, but all others PLEASE Enter at Bob's Seafood Tent and Exit at the Food Truck end.
- Temperature Checks - Vendors & their workers upon check-in for the market start will be temperature checked. Any vendor or it's employee who has a temperature of 100.4 or greater will be asked to leave the market for the day.
- Hand Sanitizer Stations - Vendors will be required to have hand sanitizer or wipes at their booths for both themselves and guests of the market. The market has also purchased touchless hand sanitizer stations that will be placed at each end of the market for guest use.
- Porta Potty's - We will have additional porta potty's for guests and vendors use along with a portable hand washing station.
- Social Distancing - Vendors should have a type of barrier or ground marks to keep guests a minimum of 6 ft. from their tables or inside their tents. They will also be required to monitor their own waiting/ check out lines to ensure social distancing is being followed. Additionally, Vendor tents will be spaced at a minimum of 5 ft. apart. **(Due to this requirement, there will be limited space availability to the vendors, which will limit the amount of vendors we will be able to have at the market this year.)**
- Food Vendors - Masks or face Shields and Gloves are required by any vendor serving or making food at the market. Sampling will be allowed but it will need to be in a sealed , individual, single use container. We also ensure that each food vendor is licensed, or in complete compliance with cottage law requirements.
- Produce Vendors- Please let the vendors know what items that you are interested in and they will put in a bag for you.
